Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit & Silver Spur, Bentley Mulsanne, Eight, Continental, Turbo R, Brooklands & Azure by Malcolm Bobbitt

The Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit and its long wheelbase derivative the Rolls-Royce Silver Spur replaced the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow and the lwb. Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II. Their Bentley counterpart, the Mulsanne was successor to the Bentley T. The new models remained in production – albeit in a number of guises – for some eighteen years. A multitude of modifications ensured that all demands from clients and legislation were dealt with accordingly. Much was achieved in the period between 1980 and 1998, with several generation of cars each establishing new parameters of excellence and from the mainstream models several derivatives were developed, e.g. the Rolls-Royce Park Ward Limousine on an extended chassis. The revival of the Bentley marque is described in detail. From Bentley Mulsanne and Mulsanne Turbo with its awesome performance to Bentley Brooklands and Bentley Turbo R. The latter being mainly responsible for more Bentley motor cars outselling Rolls-Royce by three to one during the late 90ies.
The book's coverage of these cars includes design, prototypes, production and evolution. In depth research results in hitherto unknown facts about sales as well as marketing. Of course detailed specifications are given and production figures.

Softcover, 207 x 260 mm, 208 pages, ca. 250 mono- and colour photographs,  up-dated Edition (published 2017).
